In a world full of performance and facade, my heart is radical authenticity because the world needs it…
Let me take you back to the year 2000, a time that feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. Fresh into the journey of marriage, my husband and I stumbled upon a conversation that would unknowingly shape the ethos of Being T today.
We found ourselves tangled in a debate about "being" versus "becoming." There were qualities he believed weren't in my nature, while I stood firm that, despite my growth and evolution, certain core aspects of who I am would remain steadfast. It might sound trivial now, but that moment was a revelation for me.
As a mom, wife, and community leader for the last 2 decades, I’ve learned that someone always wants you to be something that you are not. In order to not lose yourself in all of the titles, you have to know who you are and how to radically hold fast to what you know to be true about you…

At the heart of Teresa's work is a deep commitment to empowering organizations to not only articulate their unique stories compellingly but also to create inclusive, equitable work environments that allow all stakeholders to thrive. Her approach is holistic, understanding that true impact transcends numbers and delves into the narratives that shape our communities.
Teresa's journey in social impact leadership is marked by her transformative decade-long role as the Executive Director of Spring Street Community Development Corporation (SSCDC), famously known for its initiative, Table of Hope. Since its inception in 2011, SSCDC has been a beacon of hope in Morris County, dedicated to improving the quality of life for families through a spectrum of services, from affordable housing and youth educational programs to fostering economic opportunities and environmental sustainability.
Under Teresa's stewardship, SSCDC launched its first program, Student Outreach and Academic Reinforcement (SOAR), providing essential tutoring, leadership training, and college access programs.
Perhaps the most heartwarming chapter in Teresa's career unfolded in 2013 with the establishment of Table of Hope. Born from the community's generosity and a significant investment to rebuild Bethel Church of Morristown's fellowship hall and kitchen post-Hurricane Irene, Table of Hope stands as a testament to Teresa's belief in community solidarity, serving warm meals and smiles to all in need.
With over 100,000 meals served and more than 400 kids mentored, Teresa's leadership at SSCDC and Covenant Consulting continues to leave an indelible mark on the community. From the Table of Hope Mobile Food Pantry to initiatives like Healthy Women Healthy Families and New Life Recovery and Reentry, Teresa Williams embodies the spirit of compassionate leadership, making a difference one meal, one program, and one community at a time.
Your Invitation to Authenticity— through Executive Coaching
That exchange illuminated a fundamental truth I hold dear: everyone deserves a space where they can be their true selves—flaws, quirks, and all—without the weight of pretense or the pressure to conform. In a world that often favors masks and facades, Being T. stands as a beacon for radical authenticity.
Leveraging my two-decade long experience in a robust corporate career and as an Executive Director of a leading non-profit (Table of Hope), our mission at Being T. is rooted in guiding leaders to embrace and express their authentic selves within their professional spheres.
We believe that the cornerstone of impactful leadership is authenticity, and our executive coaching is dedicated to uncovering and polishing the genuine leader in you.
